Chairing Skills
In this 3 hour session Chairing Skills introduces the knowledge, skills and attributes (the tools) needed to become an effective chair. Topics include the role and responsibilities of the chair, the framework in which the chair operates and relationships with stakeholders. The session will also help you to be a more successful chair by improving awareness of yourself and others and understanding the role of a leader. This skills development session will assist you as a chair with running effective meetings, upholding professional conduct, dealing with difficult situations, engaging with stakeholders, maintaining good relationships with the clerk and other members of staff and effective communications.
Suitable Audience
Chairs, committee chairs or those who might aspire to these roles. This training is held at a venue.
